I asked a stupid question in a meeting.
Coming out of my mouth, I knew it was a bad idea.
But we have to explore every option.
Yup. Unsafe!
The idea was impossible, worse than I anticipated.
It spurred a follow up conversation.
Which lead to a viable solution!
Be brave. Ask dumb questions.
Foster a culture where everyone feels safe asking foolish questions.
(I was the lowest ranking member in the meeting)
Might just lead to the answer.
